Nadia and Alasdair Kingham have raised $18,759.92 for neurosurgical research through two very different fundraising challenges, continuing a family legacy with NRF.
From a 70th birthday fundraiser to the World's Largest Fun-Run, Nadia and Alasdair Kingham raised an incredible $18,759.92 for neurosurgical research.When your family helped lay the foundations of the Neurosurgical Research Foundation, supporting neurosurgical research can become more than a cause. It becomes part of the family.For NRF Board member and wonderful long-time ambassador Nadia Kingham, that commitment runs deep. The daughter of NRF co-founder Dr Trevor Dinning, Nadia has been a passionate supporter of the Foundation for many years, contributing her time, energy and fundraising efforts to help advance neurosurgical research.
A Birthday with Impact
To celebrate her 70th birthday, Nadia set herself a goal of raising $1,000 for every decade, $7,000 for neurosurgical research.
She invited friends and family to donate to the NRF, and the response was extraordinary.
Nadia raised an outstanding $16,519.92, more than double her original goal. This incredible contribution will help support vital neurosurgical research.
"Dad wanted future generations of doctors to have knowledge, research and treatments available to help patients in ways that simply weren’t possible in his time. Thank you for helping continue a legacy that means so much to me and my family."

Alasdair takes on the City2Surf
Nadia’s son Alasdair recently took on his own fundraising challenge, lacing up for the 2026 Voltaren City2Surf in Sydney on Sunday 9 August.
Known as the world’s largest fun run, the iconic 14km course takes participants from Sydney’s CBD to Bondi Beach, bringing together more than 90,000 people to run, jog, walk and stroll.
Alasdair completed the challenge while raising an impressive $2,240 for the NRF.
Together, Nadia and Alasdair have raised an incredible $18,759.92 for neurosurgical research.
Two very different fundraising challenges, one shared belief in the importance of research and a family connection to the NRF that spans generations.
