Because of you, Grey May 2026 has become our biggest Grey May yet.

Together, supporters, volunteers, researchers, clinicians, businesses and community groups helped raise more than $190,000 for brain tumour research, making this another record-breaking year of impact.

Whether you donated, fundraised, volunteered, attended an event, bought merchandise, entered a raffle, bid in the silent auction or helped spread awareness, thank you.

Every action mattered. Every dollar counts. Every supporter made a difference.

Communities coming together

This year's Grey May was powered by an incredible network of businesses, organisations and community partners.

From our long-time friends at Munno Para Foodland to new supporters including Frewville Foodland and Pasadena Foodland, shoppers generously supported Grey May through checkout token promotions, merchandise sales, raffles and community fundraising activities.

We were also proud to host community stands around Adelaide including all 3 Foodlands, Memorial Hospital and Calvary Adelaide Hospital, where volunteers helped spread awareness and connect with families affected by brain tumours.

Jones Radiology and Radiology SA once again turned routine appointments into opportunities to support research, donating $10 from every brain MRI performed throughout May.

We are also grateful to Adelaide University, ICON Cancer Centre, Servier, B. Braun and all of the organisations who helped make Grey May possible.

Research moving forward

One of the highlights of Grey May was our Brain Tumour Research in Action: Research Update and Lab Tour.

Hosted by Adelaide University at the Centre for Cancer Biology, the event gave supporters a firsthand look at the research they are helping make possible.

Attendees heard directly from leading researchers about exciting developments in brain tumour research, including clinical trials currently underway in Adelaide and a new paediatric clinical trial expected to enrol its first patient in the coming weeks.

Throughout May, Adelaide University also helped raise awareness by displaying Grey May messaging on the Bradley Building, helping shine a spotlight on brain tumour research across the city.

Fundraisers who inspired us

This year saw more community fundraisers than ever before.

Supporters across South Australia found creative and inspiring ways to support brain tumour research through events, challenges, workplace initiatives and personal fundraising campaigns.

From GG's incredible Ultra Marathon, running 21 laps (and 140km!) over 21 hours, Fore Griff's Heartwarming Golf Day, multiple Brave for Dave Grey May Sporting Rounds held all across the Riverland, and many more, every fundraiser brought people together around a shared goal: better outcomes for people affected by brain tumours.

Behind every fundraiser was a personal story, a loved one remembered, a life changed or a hope for better treatments in the future.

Powered by volunteers

This year's Grey May was supported by our largest volunteer team ever.

Many volunteers had experienced the impact of a brain tumour diagnosis firsthand, yet generously gave their time throughout the month to help others, raise awareness and support research.

From staffing community stands and selling raffle tickets to helping at events and sharing their own experiences, our volunteers went above and beyond.

We are incredibly grateful for every person who donated their time and energy to make Grey May such a success.

An evening of connection and impact

Supporters, researchers, clinicians, patients and families came together at our Grey May Cocktail Party to celebrate the progress being made possible through research.

The evening featured inspiring speakers, meaningful conversations and a highly successful silent auction made possible by the generosity of supporters and prize donors.

Thank you to everyone who attended, donated auction prizes, placed bids or helped make the evening such a success.

Together, you helped turn a wonderful evening into meaningful impact for people affected by brain tumours.
