Tyler Fuller Raises Funds for Traumatic Brain Injury Research
At just 19 years old, Tyler Fuller’s life changed forever. On New Year’s Day 2020, Tyler suffered a devastating fall onto the rocks at Middleton, resulting in a traumatic brain injury (TBI).
Since that day, Tyler has faced his recovery with incredible strength and determination, transforming his experience into a mission to help others. He has become a passionate advocate for TBI awareness and research, dedicating his time and energy to supporting vital scientific advancements.
This year, Tyler went above and beyond, coordinating two major fundraising events within one week, raising an incredible $4,550.25 for TBI research.
Firing Up for a Cause at Bunnings Kent Town
Tyler kicked off his week of fundraising with a community favourite, the Bunnings Kent Town BBQ.
With the help of his incredible crew of family and friends, Tyler served up plenty of smiles (and sausages) to hungry customers, raising $1,350 for traumatic brain injury research.
The event not only raised vital funds but also awareness, sparking conversations about the importance of supporting those living with brain injury.

A Day on the Green for Brain Injury Research
Just days later, Tyler teed off his next effort, hosting the NRF Golf Day at Mount Lofty Golf Club.
The day was filled with laughter on the fairway, fierce putting competitions, raffle wins, and even a memorable rescue for an unlucky magpie. Most importantly, it brought together a community united by compassion and purpose.
The event raised an incredible $3,200.25, bringing Tyler’s total fundraising to $4,550.25 across both events.
Congratulations to the winning team, who scored an impressive 35, and a big thank you to all raffle, silent auction, and prize donors who made the day such a success.

Continuing the Mission
Funds raised from both events will directly support vital TBI research, helping scientists and clinicians improve recovery and outcomes for people affected by brain injury.
The NRF extends its heartfelt thanks to Tyler, his family, friends, and all who participated, proving that when communities come together, remarkable things can happen.
