Be Bold and Go Gold for Childhood Brain Cancer this Feb
NeuroSurgical Research Foundation invites schools, workplaces, hospitals, and communities to Be Bold, Go Gold in support of children with cancer.
This February, the NeuroSurgical Research Foundation invites schools, workplaces, hospitals, and communities to Be Bold, Go Gold in support of children with cancer. By taking part, you are helping to fund critical paediatric brain tumour and neurosurgical research that has the potential to transform outcomes for young patients in South Australia and beyond.
This year’s campaign will be held around International Childhood Cancer Awareness Day on Sunday, 15 February 2026. We encourage everyone to wear gold, fundraise, and help spread the message that childhood cancer research matters.

Celebrating the impact of 2025
We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported Be Bold, Go Gold in 2025. Thanks to your generosity, the NRF raised $3,418.82 toward paediatric brain tumour research in South Australia — funding that is helping to advance vital studies into better treatments and improved survival for children with brain cancer.
We would particularly like to acknowledge:
-
NRF Ambassador Elizabeth Barbaro, for her dedication to raising awareness of Be Bold, Go Gold and advocating for children with brain tumours across the community in 2025.
-
Calvary Hospital, which hosted a staff morning tea and donated more than $850 to the Paediatric Appeal — a wonderful example of workplace fundraising in action.
Your support shows the real difference that collective community action can make.
