Scanlon Wines Dinner Raises $15,600 for Brain Cancer Research
The inaugural Scanlon Wines Dinner raised more than $15,600 for vital brain cancer research in loving memory of Joanne Scanlon.
Hosted by the Scanlon and Warhurst families in loving memory of Joanne Scanlon, the inaugural Scanlon Wines Dinner brought together supporters from across the South Australian community for an unforgettable evening of fine wine, meaningful conversation and heartfelt storytelling.
A very special evening filled with love, generosity, remembrance and community spirit, the event raised an incredible $15,600 for brain cancer research. Guests enjoyed canapés, a five-course meal and a vertical tasting of premium Scanlon Wines from 2022–2025, including a sneak preview of unreleased wines.
The event was created in honour of Joanne Scanlon, whose family continues to carry her memory forward following her passing from brain cancer

Special thanks to Peter Ormandy for serving as MC and arranging the Royal Adelaide Golf Club experience with Greg Chappell, Martin Brown of Sevenhill for generously donating wines and prizes, Paul Griffin of Mercedes-Benz for the Drive Day experience, and Rick Neagle for donating the Pro Hart print and NFC experience.

A special acknowledgement goes to Scanlon Wines and the Scanlon family for sharing Joanne’s story and creating an evening that brought people together in support of families facing brain cancer.
Every dollar raised will help fund vital brain cancer research aimed at improving treatments and outcomes for patients facing this devastating disease.
