The NRF was proud to facilitate the 2026 Statewide Neurosurgical Meeting at the Royal Adelaide Hospital, bringing together neurosurgical clinicians, researchers and industry partners from across South Australia for a day of collaboration, knowledge sharing and discussion around the latest advances in neurosurgery.

The program featured an execellent range presentations covering a diverse seledction of topics to neurosurgery and research.

The presentations explored areas including metastic meningioma, dural arteriovenous fistulae, chornic subdural recurrence, IDH-mutant glioma and epilespy.

In particular, one of the presentations delivered by Servier, focusing on IDH-mutant glioma and Vorasidenib, a innovative new treatment. It was a great opportuntiy to learn about emerging treatment approaches for patients and ongoing developements.

The meeting also featured the SA Neurological Tumour Bank, highlighting the vital role that tissue collection, research and collaboration play in improving our understanding of neurological tumours. By bringing clinicians and researchers together, meetings such as this create valuable opportunities to exchange ideas, discuss emerging evidence and consider how advances in research can translate into improved patient care.

Research does not happen in isolation.

Collaboration between clinicians, researchers, hospitals and industry partners helps create opporunities to share knowledge, explore new approaches and ideas.

The 2026 Statewide Neurosurgical Meeting provided a valuable platform for these conversations and enabled colleagues from across the state to connect and learn from one another.

We would like to thank all the speakers and attendees who contributed their expertise and time, as well as the even sponsors ICON Cancer Centre, B. Braun, Evolution Surgical, Medtronic, Radiology SA, Servier and LifeHealthcare, for their generous support.
