Over the weekend, Alex and Oscar took on an extraordinary 24-hour running challenge to raise funds and awareness for brain tumour research through the Neurological Research Foundation (NRF). Their effort was not only physically demanding but deeply personal.

Oscar’s brother, Jordan, and Alex’s father have both faced brain tumour diagnoses. It was through this shared experience that the two became close mates—bonded by resilience, empathy, and a drive to make a difference.

Driven by a powerful message, they said:

"We’re lucky to be healthy, and we’re running for those who can’t. Every step we take is for the fighters, the survivors, and the memories of those we’ve lost."

Their incredible commitment inspired supporters across the community, raising an impressive $5,450.30 for brain tumour research.

The NRF is deeply grateful to Alex and Oscar for their heart, determination, and advocacy. Their efforts not only raised crucial funds but also shone a light on the need for ongoing research in this underfunded area of neurological health.

To Alex and Oscar: thank you for running with purpose. Your impact will go far beyond the finish line.
