In Memory of Imogen Cenko: Supporting Children Through Advanced Neurosurgery
A legacy of love. A gift of hope.

The Cenko family has made a remarkable gift to the NRF in memory of their beloved daughter and sister, Imogen Cenko. Their generosity has funded the purchase of the LEVICS Micro-Instrument with irrigation and aspiration, an advanced tool that will directly support children undergoing brain and spinal surgery.
This instrument allows neurosurgeons to safely remove tumours—even those close to areas that control movement or other vital functions—while helping preserve healthy tissue. Its lightweight, angled design improves visibility during long and complex operations, while integrated aspiration keeps the surgical field clear. Together, these features give surgeons greater precision and control, which can lead to safer procedures and better outcomes for young patients.
“Their gift helps bring advanced neurosurgical tools to children whose lives depend on precision, care, and innovation,” said NRF Executive Officer Ginta Orchard. “We are honoured to receive this donation in Immi’s memory, knowing it will make a lasting difference for many families.”
The Cenko family’s generosity ensures that Immi’s legacy lives on through the improved treatment of children facing some of the most difficult neurosurgical challenges.
