In 2025/26, the NeuroSurgical Research Foundation awarded 48 grants worth $2.19 million, supporting research into brain tumours, stroke, traumatic brain injury, neurodegenerative conditions and more.
But the impact goes beyond the numbers.
Our funding is helping bring clinical trials to South Australia, supporting promising new treatments and helping researchers move discoveries from the lab closer to patients. It is also supporting the next generation of researchers as they work towards the future of neurological care.
And sometimes, the impact is felt right now.
This year, 130 families were supported by South Australia’s Brain Cancer Nurse Consultant, providing connection and guidance through an incredibly difficult time.
For 63 years, the NRF community has helped make progress like this possible.
Research takes time. Every breakthrough starts with an idea, an opportunity and people willing to back it.
