Real Stories of Hope and Loss

Behind every statistic is a person. In 2022, Chloe suffered the heartbreak of losing her husband Dave, father to their two young boys just 4 and 11 months old, to an aggressive recurrent GBM.

He was only 41 - young, fit and healthy. With their lives turned upside down, Chloe created Brave for Dave, focused on raising funds and awareness to support all the patients and families who are facing their own devastating glioblastoma diagnosis.

Thanks to Chloe's continued advocacy and the support of both the Brave for Dave and NRF communities, that in 2024 SA Health agreed to help fund the first every brain tumour support nurse in SA to help patients and families navigate their brain tumour journey.
