Associate Professor Guillermo Gomez, or GG as he’s known to many, is going all in for South Australians living with brain cancer.

From September 19 to 21, GG will take on an incredible 242-kilometre run over three days. He’ll start in Barmera and finish in Adelaide, crossing the finish line with the City to Bay Fun Run as part of Team Neuro.

Each kilometre represents one of the 242 South Australians diagnosed with brain cancer every year.

GG is running to raise funds and awareness for glioblastoma and clinical trials — vital research efforts that are working to transform the outlook for people facing this devastating disease. The funds raised will help accelerate access to clinical trials, bringing new hope and potential treatments within reach sooner.

Three days. 242 kilometres. One goal: faster, life-saving outcomes for people with brain cancer.
