Associate Professor Guillermo Gomez, or GG as he’s known to many, is going all in for South Australians living with brain cancer.

From September 19 to 21, GG will take on an incredible 242-kilometre run over three days. He’ll start in Barmera and finish in Adelaide, crossing the finish line with the City to Bay Fun Run as part of Team Neuro.

This distance isn’t just a physical challenge. It’s a powerful symbol.
Each kilometre stands for one of the 242 South Australians diagnosed with brain cancer each year.

GG is running to raise funds for a dedicated clinical trial coordinator — a crucial role that helps turn breakthrough brain tumour research into real-world treatments for patients, faster. It’s about bringing hope within reach.

Three days. 242 kilometres. One goal: faster, life-saving outcomes for people with brain cancer.
