Join us for a Research Update Night – an evening of insight, inspiration, and community connection for those affected by brain tumours.
Hear from leading speakers about current brain tumour research, available support services, and what’s on the horizon. Stay informed, feel supported, and connect with others in the community.
This special forum marks the official start of Associate Professor Guillermo Gomez’s (GG) incredible 242-kilometre run from Barmera to Adelaide. Over three days, GG will run one kilometre for every South Australian diagnosed with brain cancer each year — raising critical funds to accelerate research and improve access to life-saving clinical trials.
Why it matters:
Brain cancer remains one of the deadliest and most underfunded cancers in Australia. Your support helps fast-track solutions and bring new treatments closer to home.
Hear from changemakers making a difference:
Ginta Orchard – Support services that matter: navigating the journey with patients, families, and carers
Associate Professor Guillermo Gomez (GG) – The power of research: how your support can transform clinical trials in South Australia
Chloe Drogemuller-Fiebig (Brave for Dave) – Turning loss into action: how one community campaign led to South Australia's first Brain Cancer Support Nurse
Dr Benjamin Ellul – Building brighter futures: medical and research career pathways for rural South Australians
