Brave for Dave was created by Dave's wife Chloe, with the help of family and friends. Chloe and the couple's children Duke and Banks, aren't letting Dave's memory fade and want to put as much effort into raising awareness of brain cancer as their husband and father put into fighting the disease.

This Grey May, Brave for Dave hosted a series of fantastic sporting events raising $6620 for brain cancer research! A testament to the power of community, Chloe shared a special message thanking all those who donated, took part and supported the cause:

"We are overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity of those who took the time to read about and donate to such a worthy cause. It was a huge month for us with fundraising and being a voice for all brain cancer/tumour patients and their families.

A very heartfelt thank you to the following Sporting Clubs and Associations for their unwavering support generosity this Grey May:
Riverland Netball Association (Affiliated Clubs)
Loxton Football Club

Also, thank you to Tri State Graphics, Riverland Premier Sports Berri and Argo Investments for their contribution and generosity.
Our BRAVE FOR DAVE keeps growing and one day soon, we will be able to change the way we approach and talk about brain cancer. There is a lot to be said about the influence of a community….there is no limit to what we can accomplish together."

It is clear that the Brave for Dave Community is a force to be reckoned with! Hosting a very successful walk for brain cancer and shave for a cause event last year, they have fundraised over $19,000 for the NRF to support groundbreaking brain cancer research and clinical trials.

Chloe is passionate and determined and this funding is already making a real impact for brain cancer patients and families.

Brave for Dave donated a vital piece of research equipment to the UniSA Centre for Cancer Biology - a new blood analyser which is helping develop better immunotherapies for brain tumour treatment by expanding current research capability and speeding up processing time from 4 hours to mere minutes!

Chloe is also using her connections to help advocate for a South Australian Brain Tumour Coordinator to assist SA patients and families navigating a brain tumour diagnosis.

Our heartfelt thanks to all Brave for Dave and NRF supporters for helping us fight this devastating disease.

You can help change the future of brain cancer for our heroes currently fighting and passed by making a donation to Brave for Dave here.
