Research Education & Support

As part of Go Gray in May 2020, the NRF is supporting brain tumour awareness month by holding this forum.

Please join us to hear the latest research on brain cancer research, learn about brain cancer impacts, and hear about the progress towards clinical trials for brain tumour research.

The NRF is proud to present this forum, which is a partnership between the NeuroSurgical Research Foundation, UniSA/SA Pathology - Centre for Cancer Biology and the Brain Tumour Alliance Australia.

Research Overview:

Listen to UniSA researchers discussing their latest projects, such as:

  • Developing a comprehensive glioblastoma brain tumour resource for testing new and existing brain tumour therapies
  • Arming a patient’s immune system to treat aggressive brain cancer
  • A new approach to deliver drugs to brain tumours
  • Region-specific brain organoids for rapid and personalised pre-clinical test of treatments for Glioblastoma

In addition, you will hear from Dr Ganessan Kichenadasse a Medical Oncologist (Cancer Specialist) with knowledge of current clinical trials. There will also be wellbeing support information for those with a brain tumour diagnosis.
