The NRF receivs no government funding and is dependent on donations from individuals and companies.
In 2007 the NRF Council formalised the sustainability of the NRF by setting aside an amount of $1.3 million as a Corpus.
The investment earnings on this Corpus are used to fund the administration expenses of the NRF.
The Council is currently in a position where over the last three years 100% of monies raised have been given to research.
It is the NRF Council's commitment that at present the full donation will be allocated to the research project or equipment and no newly raised monies are used for administration.
Our policy is that no more than 20% of any funds raised would be used for administration if required.
